This listing allows you to choose either Road Legal plates or Show Plates at checkout.
Please ensure you select the correct option, as the requirements and usage differ.

Number plate surrounds are not included in the price and can be purchased separately from the Signature Surrounds Collection.

Option 1: Road Legal Number Plates (UK Use)

Road Legal plates are manufactured in accordance with DVLA regulations and are legal for use on UK public roads.

Documents Required (DVLA Requirement)

Proof of Identity

To confirm name and address, you may use:

  • Driving licence

  • Utility bill, Council Tax bill or rates bill (issued within the last 6 months)

  • Bank or building society statement (issued within the last 6 months)

  • National identity card

Proof You Are Entitled to Use the Registration Number

You must provide one of the following:

  • Vehicle registration certificate (V5C or V5CNI)

  • Green ‘new keeper’ slip from the V5C or V5CNI

  • Certificate of entitlement (V750 or V750NI)

  • Retention document (V778)

  • Vehicle tax or SORN renewal reminder (V11 or V11NI)

  • Temporary registration certificate (V379 or V379NI)

  • Number plate authorisation certificate (V948) with official DVLA stamp

  • Electronic number plate authorisation certificate (eV948 or eV948/2)

  • Letter of authorisation from a fleet operator (lease or hire company) quoting the V5C document reference number

  • V5C on demand (V5C suppression) fleet PDF from the DVLA vehicle record service

  • UK Trailer Registration Certificate (VTRC)

Road Legal Plates Include:
✔ BS AU 145e compliant
✔ Correct UK font and spacing
✔ Supplier name and postcode
✔ Legal markings printed at the bottom

Option 2: Show Plates (Off-Road / Display Use Only)

Show plates are NOT legal for use on UK public roads and are intended solely for display, shows, photos, or private land.

No documents are required for show plates.

Show Plates:
✖ Not DVLA compliant
✖ No supplier or BS markings
✖ May include altered fonts, spacing, or designs
✖ Must not be used on public roads
